1. Requirements
- UQAM-DEV requires Windows 7 or 10, and a minimum of 8Gb of RAM is advised.
- The following programs are required in order to install and run UQAM-DEV:
- Git : https://git-scm.com/download/win
- Notepad++ : https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads
2. Installing UQAM-DEV
1.1 Download UQAM-DEV at http://vivo-i18n.dev.uqam.ca:8080/download/UqamDEV-2020-05-20-windows-x64-installer.exe | |
1.2 Run UqamDEV-2020-05-20-windows-x64-installer.exe and follow the instructions UQAM-DEV must remain at the root (c:\) of your system for proper operation. |

3. Starting UQAM-DEV for the first time
2.1 Use the shortcut c:\UQAM-DEV\UQAM-DEV On the first run, the Eclipse Launcher will ask you to specify a workspace location. Use the path already provided, and check the option Use this as the default and do not ask again. The first run might be lenghty. UQAM-DEV must be at the root (c:\) of your system for proper operation. |

4. Configuring UQAM-DEV
3.1 Select the Git perspective 3.2 Choose Clone Git repository |

3.3 Provide the repository URI : https://github.com/UQAM-VIVO/UQAM-DEV-Config and click next |

3.4 Select the master branch and click next |

3.5 Make sure the proper path to the Git directory is provided 3.6 Click Finish to add the repository to UQAM-DEV. |

| 3.8 In the menu File, select Import |
|
| 3.9 Select General > Existing Projects into Workspace and click next |
|
| 3.10 Provide the path to the Git repository created in the phase 1 and click Finish |

5. Uninstalling UQAM-DEV
a. Uninstalling the entire UQAM-DEV system
To remove the entire UQAM-DEV system, simply delete the folder c:\UQAM-DEV
b. Uninstalling only the folders and files installed by UQAM-DEV
To remove UQAM-DEV while keeping the folders and files created or modified by the user (such as the Git repositories or other examples), run either :
- c:\UQAM-DEV\Uninstall UQAM-Développement de l'Environnement VIVO (UQAM-DEV)
or
- c:\UQAM-DEV\uninstall.exe
