Timeline
30 November 2020:
Install all tripods, instruments, and power to the site.
Ensure all connections are functioning correctly.
Begin script for K63 Hotplate.
1 December 2020:
Returned to the site to check that all instruments are mounted and set-up correctly.
Began the timelapse camera, taking 4 mp photos hourly.
Showed Charles, Amelie, and Kathleen around the site, and gave instructions to Amelie regarding re-starting procedures.
2 December 2020:
Changed Campbell scientific data to collect onto MicroSD card. Requires custom collect in LoggerNet.
Hotplate coefficients amended as per recommendations from Pond.
e0 = 1.0
e1 = -0.05
E_min = 0.25Serial commands:
for e0: W70,1.0\r\n
for e1: W71,-0.05\r\n
for E_min: W75,0.25\r\n
Save Vars: W20,728.3\r\n
5 March 2021:
Flux tripod installed adjacent to main Fixed Station instruments, north of the other tripods.
Flux tripod remained there for the duration of the IOP, with Dominic Boisvert swapping the 12v 100Ah LiFEPO4 battery every 4-5 days
7 May 2021:
Met tripod removed and FLuix tripod put in place in line with MRR and Hotplate tripods. Parsivel installed on top of Flux tripod
Flux tripod now running from PS100 AC-12v converter
11 July 2023:
Micro rain radar (Metek MRR2) changed to capture data at two seperate reolutions (50 m and 300 m).
This reults in a slightly smaller file size (109 MB vs 164 Mb), depsite both resolutions being writtern to a single file. Each resolution captures approx. 0.5 to 1 minute of data and then switches resolution.
The switching results in a short period (perhaps 10-20 seconds) of no data.
Data proccessing being undertaken at UQAM. Raw files are tranferred to UQAM using rsync once daily.
9 October 2023:
Flux tripod instruments removed and replaced with Stn_1 instruments. Stn_4 datalogger was not responsing or recording anymore, and Stn_4 instruments need calibration and maintenance
Instruments installed:
CR1000x datalogger
HMP155 Air Temp/RH p[robe
SR50A snow depth sensor
SI-411 radiometer
CRN4 net radiometer
Goodrich Ice detector
Instruments left inplace (mainly due to frozen ground):
Soild flux plates, CS655 soil temp and misture probe, soil thermistor set
Modem from Stn_4 swicth swapped into the enclosure of Stn_1 so all networks remian the same as before
Also removed was the K63 Hotaplte. Pond is recalling all units for processor and firmware updates.
